진동 및 측정 실험실 (Vibration and Measurement)

실험실 소개
  • 진동이란 탄성을 가진 물체가 반복적으로 흔들리는 것을 말하며, 모터와 같은 구동부를 포함하는 대부분의 기계장치에는 원하지 않는 진동이 발생하게 된다. 이 같은 진동은 대부분의 기계장치의 수명과 신뢰성을 저하시키는 중요한 원인으로 작용한다. 진동 및 측정 실험실은 기계장치 등에서 발생하는 진동을 측정하고 효과적으로 제어할 수 있는 방법에 대해 연구한다. 또, 공작기계 적용을 목적으로 정밀측정에 대한 광범위한 연구를 수행하고 있다. 진동 및 측정 실험실은 진동 및 정밀측정에 대한 이해와 경험을 제공하며, 이를 통해 전통기계산업분야는 물론 ICT 관련 기술개발이나 생산장비 분야 등에 진출할 수 있다는 것이 가장 큰 장점이라 할 수 있다

주요 경력
  • 국립금오공과대학교 (3/1991- 현재)/ Kumoh National Institute of Technology, Gumi, Korea Professor of mechanical system engineering. Developed curriculum and teach courses in vibration, system dynamics, rotor dynamics, control, and numerical analysis. Supervised research of graduate students in the areas of vibration, bearings, control, and precision measurement. Conducted research on machine tools and manufacturing equipment and related key technologies for about 36 years. 66 master’s degree and 9 doctoral degree students. Published 132 research papers in prestigious journals (domestic journals: 83 papers, SCI/E international journals: 49 papers). Consistently conducted research projects (35 cases) related to machine tools, manufacturing equipment, and relevant key technologies, and human resource training in industry.
  • 한국정밀공학회 (KSPE)/Korean Society for Precision Engineering President (1/2018~12/2018). Launched the International Symposium on Precision Engineering and Sustainable Manufacturing (PRESM) as a conference chair. Chief Vice-President and Vice-President (1/2015~12/2017). Served as the advisory chair of 2015, 2016 and the organizing chair of 2017 in ISGMA (International Symposium on Green Manufacturing and Applications), the predecessor of PRESM. Also served as the organizing chair of the 7th International Conference of Asian Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology (ASPEN).
  • Georgia Institute of Technology (2/2004 – 2/2005, 9/2011-12/2011) Atlanta, GA, USA Visiting scholar @ school of mechanical engineering. Conducted research on biomechanical issues on wheelchair for patients and input shaping. Worked on improvement of experimental kits for ME2110: creative decision and design.
