Position Description Summary:
Job Duties:
Kumoh National Institute of Technology (KIT) invites applications for 1 professional-track assistant professor position (non-tenure-track) in mechanical engineering in the Department of Mechanical System Engineering (MSE) beginning spring 2016. The Department of Mechanical System Engineering prepares students to pursue productive careers and advanced degrees in mechanical engineering. The position is a non-tenure-track position at the professional assistant professor level. The successful candidate will teach engineering courses in English and may perform the duties of program coordinator for Center for Convergence-oriented Pro-Mechatronics.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Ph. D. in a discipline directly related to engineering, with preference given to candidates with Ph. D. degrees in mechanical engineering. The official language of application’s country must be English.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with backgrounds in traditional mechanical engineering disciplines such as thermal / fluids science, mechanical systems, controls and robotics, etc. are preferred, but candidates from all engineering backgrounds will be considered.
Salary Range : 4,100,000 KRW (3,400~3,600 USD)
Pay Basis : Monthly
Pay Plan : 12-month
